Carnal Love, Emotional Love, and Spiritual Love
I believe there are three levels of love. Carnal Love, Emotional Love and Spiritual Love are the three types of love that one can experience during their lifetime. Of course within each of these types of love there should two beings who complement one another in order for the union to be successful. Furthermore, each type of love is a powerful force in its own right; yet it is the type of person who indulges in that love that determines on which level it belongs.
Carnal Love is the most common form of love and is the most experienced of the three. Many who heal and grow from their negative life-experiences are likely to experience Emotional Love. And those who endure spiritual emergence/rebirth are among the chosen few who experience Spiritual Love.
Each of these types of love is available to all, as long as they are willing to ‘work’ for it. For Carnal Love, one simply has to be – that’s it. You connect with someone that you are intensely attracted to for whatever reason and you develop deep feelings for that person. You then call this state ‘love’. However, Emotional Love requires some healing and personal growth. This type of love is likely to occur after you have healed from an (or some) emotionally-devastating experience(s), for it’s that healing that empowers the heart and enlightens the mind. And with the energy of love now being ‘emitted’ from an empowered (healed) origin, the love you experience has to be more meaningful, nourishing and truthful. Spiritual Love is the highest, most supreme level of love. It is experienced by those who have adventured through self-discovery to become who they were meant to be. Once one becomes self aware and has self-understanding and self-acceptance, the love they practice is accentuated with spiritual understanding, emotional depth and mental clarity
Regardless of which type of love you are currently experiencing or desire to experience, simply being able to love another respectfully, genuinely and unconditionally is the goal that we all should aim to achieve.
~Namaste~
